Beyoncé's stardom is undisputed worldwide and she's known to many as 'Queen Bey'.

The 'Texas Hold 'Em' singer – who is the most awarded artist in Grammy Awards history – and her husband, Jay Z – who is one of the most successful rappers of all time – have a combined fortune of a reported $3.3 billion.

Thanks to their highly decorated music careers, their investments and their own business ventures including: Roc Nation, Cécred and ownership deals in major companies such as Adidas and Armand de Brignac, the couple, who wed in 2008, have raked in billions of dollars.

The pair are thought of as one of showbiz's most powerful and influential couples. Find out more about their love story in the video below...

Away from their wealth and careers, however, Beyoncé, 42, and 54-year-old Jay, real name Shawn Carter, are proud parents to their three children: Blue Ivy Carter, 12, and their six-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.

The 'Deja-Vu' collaborators famously like to keep their family life as private as they can, despite being one of the most recognisable families in the world.

However, they have shared some photos with fans and have stepped out together as a family unit at public events such as basketball games and the Super Bowl.

Don't miss

Fans have also had glimpses into their family life during Beyoncé's films, Homecoming and her most recent release, Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé, which detailed her 2023 multi-million dollar world tour.

Here is all there is to know about the family of five...

Blue Ivy, 12

Beyoncé and Jay-Z's first child was born on January 7, 2012, four months after her mom broke the internet with her pregnancy announcement. The 'Love on Top' singer revealed that she was pregnant while performing her 2011 hit at the MTV Music Video Awards – and Twitter went wild.

Blue Ivy has been following in her parents' musical footsteps ever since her birth. As well as her more recent appearances in music videos and films such as Black is King, Blue's voice has featured on her song 'Brown Skin Girl' which won her a Grammy Award and, at the time, broke the record for the youngest recipient of the prestigious award.

When she was born, Blue Ivy's cries were recorded and placed on Jay Z's song 'Glory' which meant that Blue broke the record for the youngest ever credited person to make the Billboard Hot 100.

At the age of 12, Blue has now had the opportunity to accompany her parents to several high-profile events. One of Blue Ivy's first outings with her parents occurred in 2014 when she went along to the MTV Video Music Awards to support her mom's performance. She's also been pictured at multiple Grammy Awards alongside both of her famous parents.

In May 2023, a few weeks into Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour, Blue Ivy made her debut on the stage at the Paris concert to perform the dance break to the song 'My Power'. It was later revealed in Beyoncé's Renaissance film that the 12-year-old was only supposed to perform once, but gained the confidence and ended up performing most nights for the remainder of the tour.

Sweetly, she was cheered on while on stage by several members of her family, from her dad, sister Rumi - who was seen holding up a sign saying 'Go Blue' during the Paris show – as well as her grandmother, Tina Knowles, and aunt, Solange.

In February, fans sawBlue out with her famous family on two public occasions, just weeks after her 12th birthday, which was celebrated in private. She appeared on stage at the Grammys when her dad, Jay Z was awarded the Dr. Dre Global Impact award, and then joined her family, minus her brother Sir, at the Super Bowl.

Rumi, 6

The 'Everything Is Love' collaborators' twins Rumi and Sir were born on June 13, 2017. According to the official birth certificates, Rumi was the first to be born, followed shortly after by her brother Sir. Like their older sister, news of the twins broke the internet.

Beyoncé announced that she and Jay Z were expecting twins via Instagram in February 2017 when the former Destiny's Child singer wrote alongside a photo of her cradling her pregnant belly: "We would like to share our love and happiness.

"We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes - The Carters." The post quickly became Instagram's most-liked post of all time, rising to over 6 million likes in less than 12 hours.

During an interview with the RapRadar podcast in September 2017, Jay Z revealed the meanings behind the pair's names for their twins. "Rumi is our favorite poet, so it was for our daughter," the Brooklyn native explained, before continuing: "Sir was like, man, come out the gate. He carries himself like that. He just came out, like, Sir."

In her documentaryHomecoming, Beyoncé revealed that her pregnancy had been tough.

"My body went through more than I thought it could," she said, before elaborating: "I had an extremely difficult pregnancy, high blood pressure. I developed toxaemia and preeclampsia, and in the room, one of the baby's heartbeats paused a few times so I had to get an emergency c-section." Thankfully, all three recovered well.

As for Rumi, the six-year-old is hitting milestones already. She helped Beyoncé and big sister Blue Ivy promote an IVY PARK Adidas range in December 2021.

More recently, Rumi can now say she's appeared on a number-one album. Beyoncé's daughter made her musical debut on the song 'Protector' which appears on Beyoncé's most recent release, Cowboy Carter.

In the song, Rumi says in a spoken word interlude at the beginning: "Mom, can we hear the lullaby, please?"

Like her big sister Blue, Rumi has since become one of the youngest stars to appear on the Billboard charts thanks to Cowboy Carter flying to the top spot when Beyoncé's country album dropped in March.

Sir Carter, 6

Beyoncé and Jay Z's only son, Sir, is seen much less than his sisters in public. In February 2024, Jay took his girls Blue and Rumi along to the Super Bowl where all three of them were pictured on the field taking photos ahead of the huge game. Sir, however, was not seen, though the reason why is not known.

Although the six-year-old has been seen the least out of the Carter kids, from the glimpses we've seen of the little one, it's clear he has such a special bond with his siblings and parents.

Fans of the Carters were delighted when the family released a family photo of them at Halloween when they turned into The Proud Family as they all dressed up as characters from the show.

Beyoncé even donned two costumes for the snap as she dressed up as the mom, Trudy, and the grandmother, Suga Mama. Little Sir looked so cute in his costume. He and his twin sister Rumi dressed up as BeBe and CeCe. The eldest sibling Blue was dressed as the central character, Penny, while dad Jay was the patriarch, Oscar.
